Century Warrior: Over the course of several hundred years Rajih has learned how to fight in just about any situation. Multiple enemies are child's play to him, and if possible, he will try to challenge himself to make fights more interesting.
Inner Sight: When Rajih steps into a room, he immediately soaks in everything about the room, in the event he may need to use it in a fight, or if he is looking for something. As a result, he is more likely to discover certain things. Also he's a god damned treasure hunter, he's an expert at looking for hidden things and useful things.
Puzzle Solver: Rajih has had a long, long time to figure out puzzles. Things like Rubiks Cubes are like flipping pancakes to him, and figuring out patterns and complex locking mechanisms on ancient treasures gives him entertainment.

  • Fountain of Youth's Touch
    • Rajih has drank from the Fountain of Youth - but rather than regressing his age and keeping him youthful, the fountain cursed him. He is forever stuck at the age he was when he drank from it, and will regenerate over time. The more severe his injuries, the longer it will take for him to recover, and each death elongates the time of death before he revives. At present, a simple execution will take approximately one week to recover from.

  • Goldfingers: If the reward outweighs the risk, Raj has a habit of nicking rare items and expensive items. Example: If there is a not-very-well-guarded jewel in someone's mansion that they're visiting on business, Raj is likely to swipe it. If there are many guards and security cameras, he's less likely to do so, but he is rather greedy.
  • Laufeyson: Raj is burdened with great purpose, and by that, I mean he is burdened with immortality. All of his non-immortal friends eventually die, which takes a toll on him, he will never find true love, etc. The usual first world immortal problems.
  • The Waiting Game: Upon death, Raj's regeneration slows down. Before, he could be beheaded, and wake up the next morning. Now even being executed with a single shot to the back of the head takes an upwards of 7 days to recover from (read: consciousness). The more he dies, the longer his regenerations take.
  • Grudge Match: Raj will hold grudges, and being an immortal, those grudges can last a long, long time. If someone wrongs him, they are added to his personal list of people who are going to suffer somehow down the line, even when it's in his best interests to not ever try to get revenge again.

Personal History

A couple hundred - possibly thousand years ago, there was a man named Rajih Abn al-Samad Ghalib, who was a fierce mercenary who often hunted treasure when not working as a hired weapon. He often sought the Fountain of Youth as he aged, wishing to keep himself young for eternity, but was always disappointed. One day, he came across a man who claimed to know the location of the Fountain of Youth, however, it was hidden and well guarded by several deadly traps. Hiring Rajih, the man and his hired goons headed to the site of the fabled Fountain, Rajih leading the way and clearing the path for the others. Several of the man's hired help perished in the journey, but they finally approached the well. After collecting payment, however, Rajih quickly struck them all down, craving to be the only one with knowledge of the Fountain. The Fountain - apparently sensing this betrayal and greed from Rajih, instead inflicted upon him a curse. Rather than rejuvinating his body, he was stuck as an immortal, never aging from where he was that day. After testing the effects on the dead bodies, and seeing that they reacted differently, he destroyed the room the Fountain was in in a jealous rage, and ensured no one would be able to find it.

It was after he had angrily attacked a town guard while being thrown out of a tavern upon his return that he discovered the Fountain had blessed him with immortality. He had been beaten fairly severely, but woke up in a gutter outside of the town with most of his injuries healed. Seeking revenge, he killed the town guard, and began moving. For years and years he moved, fighting in various wars and often disguising himself to do so. When he was not fighting, he was seeking treasure, and glory. Eventually, times changed, and there was no longer a "market" for treasure hunters. Instead, Rajih applied his knowledge of ancient tombs and artifacts and became one of the very first archaeologists, teaching "lost" arts to his students. He settled down quite well.

When World War I broke out, he was a "citizen" of Germany, and thusly helped fight. Upon defeat, at the horrible economy, he moved so that he could keep his treasures without fear of being robbed or attacked. In World War II, he found himself living in the United Kingdom, and enlisted to help fight against the Axis powers. After World War II had ended, he began researching into sciences, but quickly returned to archeology, having discovered the Nazi's interests in the occult. He began trying to get his hands on their information, and using it to fuel his own curiosity and greed.

Some time in the late 2000s he quit his job as a teacher and began working full time for the Bureau.
