The sun was setting in London on yet another Summer’s day. It’s golden light shone through a window in a high up office of the Blythe House. The warm rays surrounded two people, a man and a woman, playing a game of Go.

The man was well-dressed, and relaxed with a small smile on his face. The woman was of Asian descent, and looked as if she was in her 30s with a white silvery streak cutting through her straight jet-black hair. Some fine lines were beginning to appear on her face, her lips formed a slight smile as she picked up a piece and moved it.

“You are beginning to show your age, Feiyan.” The man said as he responded in turn picking up a piece and moving it. She tsked in return.

“You are old as well, dear Director. You should know full well that even immortals would have to make choices such as what I have done.” She smiled at him, a glint of amusement in her hazel eyes that looked so unnatural.

“I suppose some of us do, yes.” He nodded in return. “So are you telling me it is true?” His eyes slipping from the board and focusing on her, and her alone.

“The dragons of Zhōngguó have been awakened. It seems a new threat to global order has arisen. And yet…” Feiyan picked up a small game piece and turned it over in her hand. “I foresee nothing but a new cultural revolution and prosperity for the people.”

“So you have been shown by shuǐ lóng?” The Director asked, Feiyan nodded in response.
“I do not have much time…. However, I shall be here long enough to perhaps help prepare my granddaughter to take on her new role. I know we can no longer hide who she is for much longer.”

The Director folded his hands together below his chin. He gazed out the window as the last rays of the sun sank behind the horizon. The lights of London steadily appeared, lighting the area with a warm comforting glow contrasting the colorful sky.

“Team 2 has been through a lot recently.” He sighed, “But I suppose that there is no escaping the fact that what has been long coming has already been set in motion.” He glanced back at Feiyan who chuckled quietly in response to his words.

“There is no use in trying to escape the fates, dear Director. You out of all people should know that. What has started will pick up speed.” She nodded once again, her eyes glancing back to the board. Her wry smile appeared once more as she set her piece down, with a sharp clack, "And with that. I think I win.”
